Xavier Amiama

Xavier Amiama was born in 1910, in Dominican Republic. In 1935, he started painting with the legendary Haitian master Petion Savain. He later became a member of the Centre d'Art with was founded by DeWitt Peters, the American Journalist. Illustration of his painting can be found in the book, "Haitian Painting, Art and Kitsch" by Eva Pataki.
