Roger Francois was born in Petite-Riviere de l'Artibonite, Haiti, on October,1928. Before becoming a painter, he was a sculptor and student of Odilon Duperier. Francois works have gained international recognition through exhibitions held in Belgium, Germany, the U.S., and France. His paintings have been on permanent exhibition in the Brussels Museum since 1963. Within the last several years, art collectors, who see great potential in his versatility and elegance of style, have hounded Francois.
