Rodrigue Cupidon was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. He began painting at an early age. He was very fascinated with the palette knife technique, which he certainly mastered. Rodrigue developed an uncanny ability of capturing market scenes and everyday life in his paintings. His work is widely collected in the art world. He has held exhibitions in many galleries in Haiti and various parts of the Caribbean.
This painting is typical Haitian countryside scene. Villagers still widely used the donkey as a mode of transportation and the river as the main source of water supply. Cupidon has successfully captured the vibrancy of colors of this peasants scene. Painting is signed and dated with an inscription on the back of the canvas by the artist. This painted is fully guaranteed.
