Frantz Petion was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. He was encouraged to paint by many of his peers and by visiting numerous art centers. He specializes in drawing and painting animal scenes. Petion was a member of the Cooperative Committee Haitiano-Netherlands of painters for seven years. His artworks were exclusively sold at gallery Nader in Haiti. He is listed in Eva Pataki's book, "Haitian Painting Art and Kitsch". He presently lives in New York City and paints on a part time basis for exhibits.
