Emile Viard was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti in December 1956. He immigrated to the United States in 1975. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in marketing. As a resident of New York, he was involved in the Haitian art community by organizing private art shows. In 1987, he relocated to Atlanta and opened a Haitian art gallery “Galerie Toussaint Louverture”. Since then he has organized and sponsored many art shows promoting Haitian artists living abroad. In 1997, he moved to Miami and founded Vie & Art collections whose mission is to promote and provide consulting for private and corporate buyers of Haitian Art.
