Bernard Wah was born in August 8, 1939 in Port-Au Prince, Haiti. He began painting and drawing at an early age. At the age of ten, Wah began his studies in ceramics and sculpture at the Ceramics Center. The Haitian government recruited his talent to restore the art works in public gardens and cultural centers. He was credited for the murals at the Bowen Field (old) airport in 1961. He was also credited for the murals on display at the Bicentennial Exhibition, held in Port-Au- Prince. In 1965 Wah received a scholarship from the French Institute to study art. While there, he occasionally exhibited his work. He later moved to the United States where he continued his art studies. From 1967 to 1978, Wah held exhibitions in several countries, including the United States and Canada. He died in 1981.
