Georges Laratte, was born in Cap-Haitien, Haiti on April 23, 1933. He began his career as a pottery at an early age. He took courses at the Foundation Vincent in 1957, specializing in Ceramics. In the early 1960's, he turned to wood sculpture and capture the admiration of the public, collectors, and many interior decorators. Since this dream, Laratte has worked exclusively with stones.
