Ludovic Booz, was born on June 16,1940 in Aquin, Haiti. Booz is a sculptor and a world renowned painter. He was the first sculptor to use beeswax to treat wood. He was commissioned to do a bronze bust of Francois Duvalier, President Dumarsais Estime and President John F. Kennedy. He has been a member of the Centre d'Art and the Academie des Beaux Arts. His works were prominently featured in exhibitions held in the United States, France, Israel and Surinam. Illustrations of his work can be seen in Marie Jose Nadal's book "Haitian Arts” and Eleanor Ingalls Christensen's book "The Art of Haiti".
