”Roland Hector was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. He is the older brother of Voltaire Hector. Hector was considered one of the best contemporary Haitian folk artists. His paintings are generally autobiographical, daily Haitian life, biblical themes and voodoo ceremonies Spiritual themes. He died in the 1980's. ".

Painting Description:

This painting is a magnificent representation of the biblical story of Adam & Eve succumbing to temptation by a serpent in Garden of Eden. Hector has successfully shifted the garden to a tropical setting, bursting with bright, vibrant colors. There are many animals depicting in the paintings, showing that man was once the king of the jungle . The painting is signed on the lower left corner by the artist.
