Rony Leonidas was born in Cap Haitian on January 9,1946. His primary and secondary school studies were completed at Lycee Phillipe Guerrier. He began painting on his own and developed a style somewhat more impressionistc than the typical Northen School. His paintings are lush and detailed and tend to feature rural activities. He passed away on August 30, 2012
