Michael Brudent was born on July 18, 1947 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. At a very early age, he embarked on his calling into decorative art and attended "L’école des beaux Arts". In 1968, he was discovered by Roland Dorcely one of the prominent Haitian artist. Michael artistic talent was used to illustrate educational manuals for primary and secondary schools. Michael also has a passion for caligraphy and graphic art. In 1983, he took a refresher course in a New York school and received a certification in ancient and modern Caligraphy.
